What is powder brow?
Powdered brows are a better alternative to microblading while achieving a better, longer lasting result. After microblading for three years, I decided to make the full-time switch to powder brow after taking a class in 2019 and have seen much better brow results since. Powder brow gives brows a natural, soft, ombre look. It is a much less invasive procedure than microblading and often leads to quicker healing and less scarring. The powder brow procedure is often done using a tattoo machine rather than the scraping of a microblading pen. This results in brows that will stand the test of time. Typical procedures for powder brows include a consultation followed by two application sessions 1 month apart.

Is powder brow permanent?

Yes! Contrary to popular belief and outdated info, the technique used for powder brows is similar to the technique used for regular body art tattooing, in which pigment is deposited into the second layer of the skin; the dermis. This ensures the color is deep enough so it lasts for years to come with minimal fading.

How long do powder brows last?
​
Powder brows can last anywhere from 1-3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle, and desired outcome. Fading is to be expected due to location of the tattoo (typically due to sun exposure). Annual touch ups are recommended to keep optimal color retention over time.

How long does each session take?
​
The consultation will usually take anywhere from 15-30 minutes. You can expect the first and second powder brow sessions to last around 2 hours. The annual touch up sessions typically take around an hour and a half or so. Being that everyone's skin is different, the length of these sessions can vary slightly.

Does it hurt?
​
Everyone's pain tolerance is different. Topical anesthetic is used to make the experience more comfortable. Little to no discomfort can be expected. Some clients don't feel anything!

Do you have to shave the hair?
​
Nope! the brows are never shaved. However, some hair may be removed in order to achieve optimal symmetry.

How do you shape the brow?
​
All procedures begin with a method called "brow mapping". Using a few key points on your face, the brows are mapped to be the perfect shape for your individual features. This ensures that the shape of your brows will be complimentary immediately and will stay that way over time

How much does it cost?
​
Your consultation session is free. The first and second session are $200 each (plus tax). An annual touch up session is $150 and up (plus tax).
